What is cocooncOMo

It is a hug in pure cotton, produced in Como (IT), at an historical firm that guarantees quality and uniqueness to the product. The dyes and the cotton are certified sustainable for the environment (BCI, OEKO-TEX) . The product is entirely made in Italy.

The design is original, inspired by the Mesoamerican tradition and by the cultural and yoga philosophy.    

The name recall the silk cocoon that hugs, protects, warms up, helps, heals and the town (Como) where they come from, also the universal mantra OM.

The cocooncOMo has many practical applications: it may be used to help the yoga practice, it suits yoga therapy (in case of special needs), for the various phases of women fertility (from puberty to menopause), for maternity massage, for couple massage or for kids.

CocooncOMo was inspired by the fusion between the Mesoamerican traditions of an “intentioned” textile and massaging rituals, with the warm and cold principles for every phase of life both for men and women. CocooncOMo gives also the protection of a shawl, present in every tradition and a help to yoga practice, expanding the possibilities and space of the body. 

The geometric shapes woven into the texture of the cocoons depict the symbols of the elements (Tattwa) according to the ancient knowledge of Yoga. Shapes that represent the bases upon which reality is constituted, each object is an aggregation of elements.
Our physical and subtle body is an expression of this.

Yoga and especially the Tantrik tradition use the elements and its symbols in many practices to act on a subtle and deep level, on the energetic and psychic planes.

The symbols of the elements are found in the sacred geometry of Yantras, effective tools of transformation and cure.
